If you’re like us, at some point in time you’ve developed a sweet tooth while you’ve been at home. Here are some spots to help satisfy your sweet craving.
First is the legendary Vance’s Bakery Bar, if your 21+. Yep, that’s right it’s a bakery bar! You can go downtown to James Brown Boulevard to try some of the delicious ‘boozy’ drinks. They also have a full bar as well as craft beer, local coffee and wine. If that’s not enough to convince you to stop by, they also serve baked-fresh “boozy desserts” such as Bourbon Chocolate Chip Cookies, and a variety of decadent cupcakes such as Margarita, Lynchburg Lemonade and Irish Car Bomb. Your mouth should be watering at this point to taste one of these. And don’t forget to let us know which is your favorite.
Another downtown favorite is The Boll Weevil Cafe and Sweetery. It’s only a few steps away from Augusta’s Riverwalk Park and Amphitheatre which makes it the perfect stop after a good walk or run on the weekend. Or it could be a great place for lunch during the week considering it has some of the tastiest cake slices in the area. Their sweets will certainly take care of your sweet tooth and the size of the cake slices they serve will have plenty for you to take home and enjoy.
Don’t wait any longer to get your sweets. Tell us in the comments which places you go to take care of your sweet tooths. We want to know.
