There are plenty of new restaurants that have popped up recently that I've been excited to try out. One thing to love about our city is that there is such a range of places to eat for everyone and every food craving. If you are an Augusta foodie like we are, here are a few that you should certainly add to your list.
Catina Locale is one of the newer restaurants to open its doors late last year. It is located at Daniel Village on Wrightsboro near Bi-Lo. From the looks of it, it’s going to be the go-to spot for tacos and a good drink. Need we say more? From the live entertainment featuring local artists and the great food, it creates a vibe that we need to keep all 2021. They also offer outside seating which will soon be perfect for the spring and those super fun summer nights. Don’t wait to indulge in this new spot!
Laziza Mediterranean Grill has been a long-awaited restaurant that also opened its doors in late 2020. If you love greek food or want something quick to eat while you’re downtown, this is the place for you. Who doesn’t love a good gyro?! They also have vintage-looking glass bottled soda and some amazing feta cheese fries. Also, did we mention that the new James Brown mural is right outside of the restaurant? So after you’re full of gyros, you can walk across the street to take some cool pics with the latest art feature on Broad Street.
The SolFood Kitchen is another ‘wonder-fol’ restaurant that still in its first year of business. For those who are looking for a restaurant that is vegetarian- and vegan-friendly restaurant, this can easily become your new favorite. They have an exciting menu that works for everyone including those who are looking for healthier options this year. Whether you are looking to have more fruit and veggies in your diet or if you want to skip the meat altogether, you can find something to enjoy on the menu. SolFood Kitchen is located on Highland Avenue at the Surrey Center so it’s a good spot for quick lunch or a tasty dinner.
There are so many more new places that you can try out as well. Tell us in the comments which new restaurants are you dying to try? We want to know! Also, let us know what you think of the places mentioned.
