Clothes are Caren Dorn Bricker’s life. Known to
practically everyone as Ooollee, Caren has owned
Vintage Ooollee on the 1100 block of Broad Street since 2008, but her love of vintage
apparel came from her mother. The two spent weekends scouring flea markets, yard
sales, and auctions for interesting items, so it’s fitting that Caren is now surrounded by
thousands upon thousands of clothing pieces.
Vintage Ooollee, open Tuesday-Saturday from 11am to 6pm, carries an eclectic
collection of vintage clothing for men, women, and children, as well as hats, purses,
lingerie, jewelry, and shoes. The store also carries Joseph LaRose, custom-made vintage
shoes that have never been worn, and a selection of new, boutique-quality dresses in
retro styles and fabric patterns.
In 2011 Vintage Ooollee added costumes to its stock of clothing, making the store
Augusta’s go-to spot for Halloween or any other excuse to dress up. Just tell Ooollee
what you’re looking for, and she’ll find it and all the accessories and professional Mehron
makeup you need. Ooollee is an expert on all things clothing so, chances are, if she can’t
find what you’re looking for, it probably can’t be found.
